Artwork Lost Resources

Lost Resources

$0.00

Fresh water is now the new oil.  An estimated 23 Billion litres of water per year is bottled by foreign companies bound for overseas consumption.  Why is New Zealand’s natural water, a precious resource given away so freely by NZ Government to foreign owned companies?

The work conveys New Zealand’s water resources are being lost through foreign exploitation of our natural water resources for overseas consumption.

There is a growing public response over declining water quality.   New Zealand does not always have an over abundant supply of clean drinking water.  Especially when water levels are low in lake catchment areas, or household water tanks during the hot summer drought months.

2021, No.8 wire, recycled steel spouting and brackets.  H x 62cm, W x136cm, D x15cm.
